John Nunn and Maria Michta, members of the Team USA racewalking team, coached Savannah, Matt, Al, Natalie, Meredith and Ryan on the quirky sport, where one foot must always be in contact with the ground.
Cue the starting gun: The anchors were ready to race(walk).

Why are they in sweat pants? Show some skin! Oh I forgot, they were only hired for their ability to be dramatic. To make something walking seem somehow interesting. If Ann Curry were there, she wouldn't be afraid to show some leg.

One of the best segments I have see on Today!! It was hilarious!! Meredith needs to be back permanently.
Ryan Seacrest could actually be good at race walking if he wasn't just hamming it up. But it was hilarious. A very enjoyable segment. Well done by Olympians John Nunn and Maria Michta. Sure hope that everyone at home Maria is doing OK after your house was struck by lightning and your family's cars were turned into smoking hulks.
